PROPHETIC WORD: You’re Standing at the Threshold. Get Ready to See Again. Don’t Look Back.
"Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village."
Mark 8:23
Hi Kingdom Family! I hope you’re doing well!
Here’s what the Lord has placed on my heart this week….
Many of God’s people are standing at a moment of great transition and you’ve never been this way before. You are not lost. You are standing at the threshold. This is the spot between where you’ve been and where God is taking you next.
It’s a crossing over season, and for many, it can feel disorienting, blurry, and unfamiliar.
It may not look like breakthrough, but something new is being formed.
This morning, the Holy Spirit led me to Mark 8:22–26, where Jesus heals a blind man in a way that feels different from many of His other miracles. When Jesus arrived in Bethsaida, a place known for its spiritual apathy and resistance to truth, a few people brought a blind man to Him and begged for healing.
Bethsaida was a place that had seen many miracles, yet the people refused to repent (see Matthew 11:21–24). Even in that spiritually hardened environment, there were still a few who had faith. They chose to believe, and they interceded on behalf of the blind man.
Instead of performing the miracle on the spot, Jesus took the man by the hand and led him away from the village.
These details matter. Jesus would not release vision in an environment that had grown numb to the supernatural. He first removed the blind man from the atmosphere of unbelief and began forming a close relationship by guiding him with an outstretched hand.
This miracle happened in two parts. There was a process towards renewal.
Here’s what I believe God is prophetically highlighting here. Some of you are being led away from what feels familiar. The old people and places can’t support what God is about to do in your life.
Soon you’re about to become unrecognizable because the hand of the Lord is reshaping you from the inside out. The places where you once felt weak are being strengthened. The areas where you felt unseen are about to radiate God’s glory. This is not just a season of healing. It’s a season of becoming. You are stepping into alignment with who God always said you were. As His presence settles upon you, the old labels will no longer fit.
The people who once defined you by your past will not be able to recognize what God has done in your spirit.
You are being transformed in the secret place, and soon the fruit will speak for itself.
Like a loving Father, God is deeply intentional about protecting your heart and guarding who has access to you. So when He separates you from certain people or places, please know that it’s for your good. It may feel harsh or lonely at times, but remember, we serve a jealous God who fiercely protects those He loves. Jesus cares not only about your healing, but also about your identity.
Others may see your wounds or limitations, but Jesus sees your worth. You belong to the King of all kings. You’re truly precious in His sight. Like the blind man, Jesus wants you to walk into the future with clarity and vision.
Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the scripture.
WHAT DO YOU SEE?
CLARITY IS COMING
In Mark 8, after taking the blind man to an isolated place, Jesus spit on his eyes and asked, “Do you see anything?” The man looked up and said, “I see people. They look like trees walking around.”
It was a partial healing and first touch.
The man could see, but not clearly. Jesus already knew the answer, but He was inviting the man into a relational healing process rooted in honesty.
God is not looking for perfect performance in your healing. He is looking for your sincere participation. It is more than okay to tell Jesus that things still feel blurry. He welcomes that honesty. He delights in the conversation. He loves when you talk to Him openly, even in the middle of the mess. I've walked through long seasons where I told the Lord, day after day, “I do not understand any of this!” It felt scary and confusing. Sometimes, I had no words, only tears. Spiritually, I felt blind and uncertain. But God never turned me away. Jesus never condemned me for being honest. In fact, He drew closer. He always welcomes a heart that comes to Him in truth.
Back in today’s Bible story, Jesus touched the blind man’s eyes again. This time, his vision was fully restored and he saw everything clearly.
Even the use of spit in this miracle was intentional.
In that culture, spit was considered to have healing properties. But more importantly, Jesus used what was common and available to release the miraculous. Beloved, do not overlook the tools God is using in your life just because they might seem ordinary, weird or unexpected.
In my own life, I have seen how creative God is. His healing can arrive in ways that at first might seem strange or unconventional. Sometimes the unexpected path is the one God is using to bring clarity, wholeness, and direction.
After the healing, Jesus gave one final instruction to the man: “Do not even go into the village.” This was not just about geography. The village represented an old identity. It was a place where people knew the man as blind. It was a culture and a community that tolerated spiritual dullness.
I don’t know about you, but if I had been blind and could suddenly see, I’d want to tell everyone! I’d want to shout it from the rooftops! But here we learn a deeper spiritual truth: some miracles are meant to be protected. Jesus may have wanted him to go home to quietly process the change. Jesus likely wanted him to protect the purity of the miracle before it could be picked apart, misunderstood, or doubted by others.
Jesus is always more concerned with the transformation of the individual than with impressing the crowd. When our Father heals, He doesn’t just change your condition, He calls you into a new way of living.
Jesus was saying to the man, now that your vision has been restored, cherish it. Do not return to the places that only accept the broken version of you.
THE SECOND TOUCH IS COMING
PROPHETIC ENCOURAGEMENT
If you are feeling a little disconnected or disoriented in this season, take heart. Just like the blind man, there are times we can only see the trees. People and purpose can feel a little blurry in this place, but Jesus is still present. The blind man simply needed a second touch, and his healing came in stages.
God is not finished with you yet. Clarity is coming.
You are standing at a threshold.
A threshold is the strip of wood, stone, or metal at the bottom of a doorway. It marks the entrance to a new room or space. When you step over a threshold, you are literally crossing from one place into another.
Spiritually, it represents movement, change, and crossing into new territory.
This is the place where God removes the weight of the old before revealing the fullness of the new. In this space, you may feel hidden, slowed down, or emotionally drained. However, please understand that you’re not being punished. You are being prepared.
HERE IS WHAT I BELIEVE THE LORD IS DOING IN THIS THRESHOLD SEASON:
Jesus is gently taking you by the hand, guiding you with a personal touch of His love. You may not understand the path He's leading you on, but you are not walking it alone. Trust that He is leading you to the exact place where His healing will meet you.
Jesus is removing you from what no longer fits. That includes environments, mindsets, and even relationships. Don’t cling to things that have passed their spiritual expiration date. Growth sometimes means outgrowing even good people. When God separates, He is making room for what aligns with your next assignment.
God is healing you in layers. You will not enter the next season wounded or confused. He is helping you get honest about where you truly are. What do you see right now? Can you clearly discern the next step, or does it still feel blurry and uncertain? Honesty creates space for another touch from Jesus.
Finally, God is giving you a new identity. It cannot be taken from you. The clarity Jesus is bringing is not fleeting or fragile. It is firm, steady, and aligned with His purpose for your life. The enemy might have tried to use people from your past to keep you stuck in shame and confusion. Perhaps they attempted to make you feel unworthy and unloved for simply being who God created you to be. But their words no longer have power over you. You are stepping into your true identity, and this time, you will hold your head high with boldness and confidence.
This new vision God is releasing into your life will be life-changing. Many people in the Kingdom of God will be impacted. You must protect it at all costs.
Sometimes the best way to love and honor others is to let them go when their lifestyle or choices begin to harm your growth. Jesus showed us this better than anyone. Keep forgiving them. Pray for them. But remember, not everyone from your past is meant to walk with you into your future. Listen to what Jesus says. His validation is all that truly matters.
Beloved, the second touch is near.
And when it comes, you will see everything clearly.
God loves you.
He has not forgotten about you. You are not late; you are right on time.
Your Heavenly Father is working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet see.
Jesus has beautiful plans for your life, and soon you will see why your path has been harder than most. Every struggle has been setting the stage for God to pour out His love in ways you never imagined. Do not give up. The best is still ahead.
Philippians 1:6
"Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
