HEBREW YEAR 5786 PROPHETIC WORD: THE DOUBLY REJECTED WILL RISE
Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
LUKE 17:17-19
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord declares: this year the doubly rejected will rise. There is an outpouring of revival about to ricochet throughout the Kingdom of God and it will be stirred by the outsiders. These are the ones who have lived on the fringe of society, who have been fortified in the fire with King Jesus. They are pioneers. They are trailblazers. They are ambassadors of the LORD of hosts. And now, they are ready to walk boldly into their future while declaring all that Jesus has done for them.
In Luke 17:11-19 we find a story about 10 lepers that will mark many of your lives in 5786. They cried out to Jesus for mercy and He healed them; however, only one returned to say thank you. He was a Samaritan. He was the least among the least.
To him alone Jesus declared, “Rise, your faith has made you whole.”
God says, you are the one He is coming after. You are the one He has marked, the one He has preserved, the one He has chosen. Our Heavenly Father has a love language, and it is gratitude, praise and worship. When you lift your thanks to Him, even in the middle of brokenness, it becomes the very fragrance that fills His throne room. Gratitude is what separates the crowd from the remnant. Gratitude is what turns a healing into wholeness.
The Lord says, I have watched you give thanks when others complained. I have seen you whisper worship when others turned away. And I tell you, it has not gone unnoticed. I am responding to your gratitude. I am responding to your faith. This year, I am calling you to rise.
Psalm 100:4
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
WHAT IT MEANS TO RISE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD
The lepers of Jesus’ day were forced to live on the outside. They were marked unclean everywhere they went, carrying not just a physical disease but a social and emotional sentence as well. They were cut off from family, community and worship, and their very presence was a reminder of rejection. The Samaritan who returned was doubly rejected. Like the others, he carried the shame of leprosy, but he also bore the stigma of his identity and heritage.
Many of you know what that feels like to be an emotional leper. You have walked through seasons where you felt pushed aside, unseen and unwanted. Perhaps you have felt different your entire life or mislabeled by others.
But here’s what’s really unique. Rejection, especially double rejection, is actually a gift because it gives you a sharper awareness of God’s presence. When others have turned their backs, you have learned to lean on Jesus. He became your Lord, Savior, Father and Best Friend. You discovered that His nearness is your true refuge. And I believe that’s what the Lord is highlighting about the one leper who returned. He was not only healed, he recognized the source of his healing and came back to the feet of Jesus. Rejection positioned him to see what the others missed.
To rise means more than simply standing. It means to awaken, to be lifted, and to step into new life. It is the same word tied to resurrection, the same command that calls what was dead back to life. To rise is to stand in strength where you once fell, to walk in dignity where you once bowed in shame, and to move forward in the authority of heaven.
This is the year where the dust of your past will no longer cling to you. The labels others placed on you will fall away. The rejection that tries to silence you will be the very thing that gives weight to your voice.
The Lord Jesus is also bringing wholeness into your life.
Healing restores the body, but wholeness restores the soul. Wholeness means the memories of trauma no longer control you. Wholeness means shame is broken off and you no longer live under the shadow of what was done to you. Wholeness means you will walk forward free, restored, and made new.
The places of your double rejection will become the breeding ground of double portion. Specifically, this means that the very areas where you were shut out will now become the places where favor opens doors. The relationships that broke you will make room for covenant connections that bless you. The opportunities that were stolen will be multiplied back into your hands. Double rejection is being exchanged for double honor, and the testimony of your life will be undeniable evidence that the hand of the Lord has done it.
Your gratitude has moved heaven. Your faith has opened the door. And now, God’s goodness and mercy will chase you down unlike you’ve ever seen.
God is going to SHOCK you with surprises in 5786! You will truly look back one year from now in complete awe.
In 5786, the doubly rejected will rise. They will rise with dignity. They will rise with wholeness. They will rise with the fire of revival in their mouths. And the world will know that it was the hand of the Lord who lifted them. Are you ready for the best year of your life?! A new day has dawned.
What’s Coming in 5786 For The Doubly Rejected
Here Come The Outsiders
The reintegration of the outcast. Just as the lepers longed to return to society, God is reintegrating His wounded ones. Doors of community, opportunities, and belonging are going to open again. However, it’s extremely key that you stay close to Jesus when this happens. The enemy will do everything possible to divert your attention with busyness and distractions, but God must remain the central focus of all you do. What does it profit to gain the whole world but lose your soul?
A fresh call to forgiveness. Offenses will come, but God’s people must keep their hearts soft. This year will require forgiveness at new levels. Those who release it will walk free. Those who refuse may find themselves stuck in bitterness. Ezekiel 36:26 is a promise: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
A year of loud gratitude. The Samaritan leper praised God in a loud voice. This is not the year to whisper thanks politely. It is the year to lift your voice in bold gratitude. Gratitude will move you from surface-level healing to deep wholeness.
Firsts belong to God. God is highlighting the principle of firsts. Give Him your first thoughts, your first words, your first fruits, your first energy each new day. This also includes your careers and work. Give Him your best. Work unto Him. As you do, He will multiply and bless the rest.
Wholeness over healing. Many will experience healing, but those who return to Jesus with thanksgiving will step into something greater: wholeness. Healing touches your body. Wholeness restores your soul.
A GREAT AND EFFECTIVE DOOR IS OPENING BEFORE YOU
If you are still reading along, I commend you, because God is not done with this word. In fact, He has given us a wide outlook for this year. The final piece He has been highlighting comes from 1 Corinthians 16:9. Paul was speaking to the church at Corinth, explaining why he would remain in Ephesus for a while. He wrote, “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
This verse has been burning in my spirit for 5786. Paul recognized that God was opening a door of opportunity so significant that it would shape not only his life but the lives of those he ministered to. He also recognized that with that open door came strong resistance.
Let’s look at what Paul was saying. The word great in Greek is megas. It means massive, extraordinary, beyond human measure. The word effective is energēs, which means active, powerful, alive, and producing results. Together, Paul was describing a door that was enormous in size and overflowing with potential. It was not just an opportunity. It was an assignment.
Yet in the same breath he acknowledged that there were many adversaries. Paul did not say this to discourage the church. He said it to prepare them. He wanted them to understand that resistance is often the very sign that the door is real. Opposition does not mean the door is closed. In fact, opposition often confirms the value of what awaits on the other side.
Prophetically, I believe this is exactly what God is saying for us this year. Many of you are about to step into seasons of reintegration, where doors of belonging, influence, and purpose will open before you. These doors will not be small. They will be megas – great in scope and extraordinary in impact. They will also be energēs – alive with the power of the Spirit and fruitful in results. And yes, there will be adversaries. You will feel resistance. You may even be tempted to think you are in the wrong place. But hear the word of the Lord: do not turn back. The resistance you are facing is not a signal to retreat. It is proof that you are standing before the very door God has called you to walk through.
This year, be on guard, not in fear, but in faith. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Stay rooted in gratitude. Hold fast to the word He has spoken to you. For when God opens a door, no man can shut it. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that will strengthen you to walk boldly through it.
Again, beloved, a great and effective door is opening before you. Step through it with confidence, knowing the One who called you is faithful.
This is the year of the outsiders. If you have felt separated, rejected, or doubly cast aside, know this: you are seen, you are protected, and you are loved. God has not abandoned you. He has set you apart to nurture you, to give you the best of His presence, and to restore you.
Do not miss this moment. Be the one who comes back. Fall at His feet. Lift your voice in thanksgiving. And watch as your thank You unlocks wholeness and launches you into the next level of your faith journey.
This year, the doubly rejected will rise. Your faith has made you whole.
Thank you, Jesus.
1 Peter 5:2-4: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve, not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
